2010 April 1-5. Easter Weekend.

It's so fun to have Rosie around on Easter! This year, the Ward participated in a 14 day "Walk with Christ" that ended on Easter Day. The program consisted of a CD with hymns,a quote for thought, and scriptures that coincided with the lesson for that day. It was a really nice way to celebrate the real reason we celebrate Easter. Especially with Linds and Cory home too!

But, we did still color our eggs for the Easter bunny!

On Saturday, we all watched the morning session of General Conference, then Cory and Chuck went to visit Sister Kite at the nursing home. Then Chuck & Cory went to grill burgers for the 'bleed & feed' at the Stake Center. Afterwards, they both attended the Priesthood session. In the meantime, Lindsie and Austin gave Rosie a bath, then I dropped Linds & Austin off at the theater to see 'Alice in Wonderland' with Johnny Depp. Then I headed to the grocery store to get things ready for Easter dinner.

After the movie, Lindsie and Austin made a 'Princess' version of GO CLAM, with a crown included.

Everyone loves a game of "PRINCESS GO CLAM"!

What would a "Princess Go Clam" be....without a beautiful castle at the end of the game. Who knew Lindsie was so talented with chalk!

Here is Lindsie wearing her crown, which she shared with Rosie, and below is Austin wearing the crown he made, himself!

After Cory and Dad came home, we watched part of the second session of General Conference and then late in the evening we watched the original 'Clash of the Titans'...that's rated PG13...but neither Chuck or I remembered...has nudity in it...good thing Cory closed his eye's!

Sunday morning we watched a session of General Conference and then got things ready for Easter dinner, and watched the rest of Conference. Looks like Cory is taking notes!

At 6pm the Jensen's,the Missionaries, and Sister Johnson arrived for dinner. Chuck has been spending time over the weekend getting things ready for the Seder dinner. Lindsie set the table for all 11 of us...Uncle Mel decided not to join us...and we began the Seder dinner. After the ceremony we had ham (I know...pork), potatoes, green beans, and Cory's favorite fruit salad. Dad did a great job on the ceremony and I think that everyone felt the spirit. Next Easter we plan to do the Seder dinner again so Ashlie can participate. Thanks to the Easter Bunny, we had lots of Easter candy for dessert. Linds and Cory had to return back to school on Monday, but it sure was nice to have them home, even with all the noise and craziness that came with it. I loved it! With conference, and the Seder dinner, I really felt the spirit this Easter Holiday. I am so thankful for the Savior and His sacrifice for us, and what the Atonement means for each one of us. It was a weekend that I wish didn't have to end.
